information about Ice Hockey Iceland. We are currently working on our website
and more information will be added in the coming months. Now you can see a brief
introduction and information about our board and office. Also you can find all
our national champions and milestones in Icelandic ice hockey. In the last
section there is information for those interested in visiting Iceland to play or
watch a hockey game. It would be nice to hear comments
from hockey fans all over the world about our new English website and to hear

Iceland has three indoor ice rinks. Two of them are in the capital Reykjavik and one is in northern part of the country, in Akureyri (about 400 km from Reykjavik).

An increasing numbers of teams both from USA, Canada and Europe have visited us in the past years and played games here. These teams have been in all age groups, both male and female.

If you are interested in playing ice hockey in Iceland you are welcome to contact us and we will do our best to help you.

Ice Hockey Iceland (IHI) is an association of ice hockey clubs in Iceland. IHI administrates all matters regarding ice hockey such as:

Ice Hockey Iceland is a member of The National Olympic and Sports Association of Iceland and also a member of International Ice Hockey Federation.
